Why E-Type is still an artifact of desire?

Dear Jaguar lovers let’s talk today on some very interesting topic, which always compelled me to think about it. I always observed so many people admiring an old vehicle named XK-E or E-Type. Why it’s so much famous even in present times and how this car is still bravely facing onslaught of new technology, where almost everything has been completely changed through an evolutionary process. In order to get satisfying answers i searched and talked with so many people and finally got convinced about all the specialties of the Jaguar E-Type.
Well, if we have a brief look on the history of Jaguar E-Type then we came to know that it’s a car that was designed after great efforts of many great people. Sir William Lyons had a great team to work on designing a great car, key personalities were history’s well known engineers William Heynes, Walter Hassan and Claude Baily.
Another man who’s name will always be attached with the success of Jaguar Motors, and that was Sir Malcolm Sayer who applied his great ideas and experiences of aerodynamics to design something extraordinary every time. For Jaguar E-Type he worked closely with William Lyons and came up with another and even more successful car for Jaguar. In March 1961 when the Jaguar E Type was unveiled in the Geneva Motor Show (Switzerland), people and even other car manufacturers realized that Jaguar E-Type become an instant classic because Jaguar succeeded to deliver perfection in every aspect of beauty and performance.

I heard once that a dream doesn't become reality through magic; it takes sweat, determination and hard work and Sir William’s team really proved that they deserve to be admired because they worked really hard to give the world its first glimpse of the amazing E-Type, a car that has never stopped being a head turner. Even today, over many years after it first went on sale, the Jaguar E-Type is still one of the most commented on car designs of all times.
Classic Jaguar E-Type, the most beautiful car ever made.

Jaguar C-X75 Hybrid

Dear Jaguar lovers, Jaguar has announced its design of C-X75 hybrid two-seat model for the year 2013. The concept of new Jaguar C-X75 unveiled for the first time at the 2010 Paris Motor Show, where the people shocked to see another great supercar from the house of Jaguar. According to the real concept of Jaguar C-X75 there are four 145 kW electric motors in vehicle to produce 778 horsepower, that means every wheel has its own electric motor for giving an enhanced power to this new Jaguar car. Every motor is attached with the batteries that can be recharged using two diesel-fed micro gas turbines from the Bladon Jets. The C-X75 is ready to compete any technological change from the other car manufactures in future. However, currently Jaguar has planned to produce this new car in limited quantity with a boosted petrol engine rather than the micro gas turbines, but the actual concept is expected to be produced in future too.

Malcolm Sayer Honoured

Dear Jaguar lovers as most of us know that Malcolm Sayer was the man who designed XK120C or C-Type Jaguar but I’m willing to write something more about his amazingly talented personality. Well, he was from the world of aerodynamics, studied at Loughborough University for aeronautical and automotive engineering and he worked for the Bristol Aeroplane Company during the 2nd world war. Beaufighter and Blenheim both great aircrafts were originally designed by Malcolm Sayer. During his practice at Bristol he applied his ideas of aero-dynamical and mechanical designs to create something extraordinary every time. Sayer became the part of Jaguar Cars in 1950 and started applying his knowledge of logarithms and mathematics to design an aerodynamic shape for the Jaguar Cars.
As I mentioned earlier that XK120C or C-Type was designed by Malcolm Sayer but here let me tell you about his another famous and remarkable design, and that’s the D-Type, a car designed specifically for racing tracks and for winning the championships. Once again Sayer’s aircraft-style engineering was successfully applied to a vehicle which made the people feel the aeronautical understanding of its designer. William Lyons and Malcolm Sayer further worked together and introduced E-Type which is still so popular and one of the most commented on car designs of all times. Truly, Sayer played an immense role in making the history of Jaguar Cars therefore his name can never be forgotten.

Jaguar X-Type 2.2 Diesel

Jaguar’s X-Type Diesel range moved up a gear in 2006 with the addition of a new 2.2 litre diesel model. Jaguar equipped its new X-Type 2.2 diesel model with a turbo charged engine and six speed manual transmission. The purpose of introducing this car was to provide excellent performance, fuel economy and comfort. Truly, Jaguar 2.2 diesel was designed and powered as a perfect economical car, which was not just designed to be economical but was also to be capable of giving good performance on road. Jaguar started sale of this new 2.2 diesel model in September 2006. Bibiana Boerio (Managing Director of Jaguar Cars) was so sure about the success of 2.2 X-Type as the arrival of Jaguar in the diesel market.

Enhanced fuel injection system, turbo charger and exhaust gas controls were superb of this car, therefore the dream of Jaguar for achieving low CO2 emission levels, even 159g/km in the saloon. NVH (noise, vibration and harshness) all things were perfectly minimized in 2.2 X-Type to ensure excellent levels of refinement, and that was the goal of Jaguar to deliver a car that can offer great performance than the 2.0 litre vehicles. Another most interesting things in this 2.2D model was its bolt-on-front end (BOFE) structure, the lightweight aluminum beam which was hidden behind the front bumper to reduce the weight and the repair time. After manufacturing 2.2 X-Type diesel Jaguar also won the Gold Plant Quality Award in Europe for Halewood.
